Leslie Daigle Leaving ISOC After 6 Years of Dedicated Service

Leslie Daigle, the Internet Society’s Chief Internet Technology Officer, recently announced that she is leaving the organization. She has been a significant and integral part of ISOC for more than six years and will be missed immensely.

Since joining the Internet Society in 2008, Leslie has been a strong promoter of an open, global and growing Internet, including helping to catalyze the World IPv6 Day and World IPv6 Launch efforts. She has been an exceptional leader of our technology-focused programmes, such as Deploy360, and all of our initiatives to ensure a robust and secure technical infrastructure for the Internet.

Leslie plans to say more about her time here at ISOC in an Internet Technology Matters blog post before she leaves, so I encourage you to visit the Internet Technology Matters blog, or follow ITM via Twitter, Facebook, Google+, or RSS for more.

Prior to joining ISOC, she worked with the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) starting in 1995, and was an appointed member of the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) from March 2000 to March 2008. As the elected Chair of the IAB from 2002 to 2007, Leslie steered the IAB and the IETF through a period of important industry and institutional change by working with diverse technical groups to align their interests and develop sustainable relationships.

On a personal note, Leslie has been an indispensable part of my transition at ISOC and has contributed greatly to the development of our plans for the future. Leslie’s last day will be May 16. The open CITO position will be posted shortly.

Please join me in thanking her for her enormous contributions to ISOC and wishing her continued success in the future.

Regards,

Kathy Brown
