Congratulations to Public Interest Registry

Message from Lynn St. Amour, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Internet Society:
Public Interest Registry recently announced a significant milestone with the registration of the 10 millionth .ORG domain name. On behalf of the Internet Society, I’d like to send our warmest congratulations to the PIR staff and Board on this remarkable achievement. Over the years, .ORG has provided a highly-respected and reliable online home for the not-for-profit community, as well as a broad spectrum of organizations, corporations, and individuals serving the public interest. PIR can boast many major accomplishments since it was started in 1984, and they are well-positioned for many more great achievements in the years ahead.
