Africa Internet Summit 2021 (AIS’21) Online

The Internet Society joined the Africa Internet Summit (AIS), an annual regional multi-stakeholder ICT conference.

This year’s event took place from 30 May to 4 June 2021, online under the theme: Shaping Africa’s Digital Future. AIS’21 hoped to draw business and tech experts and their communities to share ideas on how to build a strong and stable Internet for everyone in the continent.

The virtual event hoped to raise awareness on IPv6 and articulate why the future of Africa’s Internet depends on its deployment. It equally offered participants the opportunity to learn how to participate in AFRINIC’s Policy Development Process (PDP) and to better appreciate Internet numbering policy in Africa and beyond.
