NDSS is Underway in San Diego Today!

By Megan KruseFormer Director, Advocacy and Communications

As Karen O’Donoghue discussed last week, the 2015 Network and Distributed System Security Symposium (NDSS) is underway in San Diego, where security researchers from across the world have gathered to discuss all the hot topics facing the Internet today.

After two workshops yesterday, today kicks off with a keynote by Stephen Farrell, Research Fellow, Trinity College Dublin, then continues with sessions on Web Security, Mobile Security, and part one of the session on Detection, Analysis, Prevention & Response.

Tomorrow, attendees will tackle Privacy, parts two and three of Detection, Analysis, Prevention & Response, and then a session on Social Networks and Cloud Services.

Finally, on Wednesday, 11 February, researchers will discuss Authentication, part two of Web Security, Network Security, and the fourth and final part of Detection, Analysis, Prevention & Response.

You can view the whole programme, including all the papers to be presented in each session, at https://www.internetsociety.org/events/ndss-symposium-2015/ndss-2015-programme.

Our Chief Internet Technology Officer, Olaf Kolkman, and our Research Analyst Karen O’Donoghue are onsite through the end of the event on 11 February. Olaf will be updating our Twitter account – @ISOCtech – periodically, so follow us there for news and happenings over the next few days – we’re using the #NDSS2015 hashtag.

Let us know how it’s going!
