Welcome to the Internet Society Deploy360 Programme!

By Dan YorkDirector, Internet Technology

Internet Society Deploy360 ProgrammeWelcome to the launch of the Internet Society Deploy360 Programme!

Our goal, as described on our About page, is to provide real-world deployment information initially for IPv6 and DNSSEC… and over time for additional Internet technologies.

We want to accelerate the adoption of these technologies by providing the best information we can find to help people start their deployment now.  And where we can’t find information, we will be creating new materials – some directly ourselves and some with partners.  Case studies, tutorials, videos, whitepapers and more will all be found on this site.

How You Can Help!

If you look around the site, you’ll see that in this initial launch we’re still in the process of building out the site for IPv6 and DNSSEC resources.  The challenge is that if you go to your favorite search engine and simply type in something like “learn IPv6“, you’ll get back literally millions of results… and some of those turn out to be materials that might be ten years old and no longer quite accurate.

Our goal is to identify the best resources – and post them here for you all to find.

So, to that end, as you look around the site if you can find an area where you know of a resource you think we should consider, please let us know!  We’re constantly finding and evaluating new resources for inclusion, but with so much content out there, we’re definitely interested in finding out what has worked well for you.

Also, consider signing up as a volunteer. We’re looking for people who want to help us add more content as people continue daily to create more great resources all around the Internet.

Keep Checking Back

Finally, this is the initial launch… we have a LOT more planned and more great content to publish and make available.  Please do consider following us on Twitter, liking our page on Facebook, circling us on Google+, subscribing to this site via RSS, or just giving us your email address in the right sidebar for occasional updates.  Or, of course, you could just keep coming back now and then.

Regardless, please let us know what you think – how can we help you?

What can we do to help you get started more quickly with IPv6 and DNSSEC?  What other resources can we publish or questions can we answer?

Thanks for visiting – and we look forward to working with you all to accelerate the deployment of IPv6 and DNSSEC all around the world!

P.S. You can also always send us email to [email protected]

NOTE:  You can also watch the video of this recent presentation by programme director Richard Jimmerson explaining the program and what we are doing.  You’ll notice that he was using the name “DO Hub” as that was the working name for the site while it was in development.
