From June 8-9, 2018, Canada hosted the G7 Summit; an annual meeting that charts the global course on key issues. In the lead-up, Canada asked people everywhere to weigh in on the most important issues they felt the G7 must address, using the hashtag #myG7.
The 2019 G7 Summit is being hosted by France in Biarritz, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, from 24-26 August.
In 2019, under France’s presidency, the G7 will focus on fighting inequalities and ensuring equal opportunity for everyone, while reducing threats and strengthening democracy for a safer world.
