Who were the panelists?

Sol Luca de Tena is currently the acting CEO for Zenzeleni community networks not-for-profit company in South Africa, as well as the vice-chair for the Internet Society’s global Special Interest Group in Community Networks.

Nicolás Echániz is a member of AlterMundi. He has been involved in Community Networks for over a decade. Nicolás co-designed the multi-radio mesh network model that AlterMundi shares with communities willing to build their own communications infrastructure.

Ucha Seturi is a lawyer and founding member of the Georgian Internet Governance forum. He is the Coordinator of ISOC’s Tusheti Community Network project and as of 2018 he is the coordinator of the Pshav-Khevsureti CN project.

These three speakers shared their experiences setting up and maintaining community network projects in Africa, South America and Eastern Europe.
