Third Summit on Community Networks in Africa

‹ Back
Venue: Wild Lubanzi Trail Lodge, Eastern Cape, South Africa

Welcome to Lubanzi Village on the beautiful Wild Coast! Our community is proud to host you in this rural and rustic setting in the heartland of the amaXhosa. You will be accommodated at Wild Lubanzi Backpackers. Our beds are comfortable single beds with linen provided. The rooms overlook the bay where dolphins and whales play during the day. The shared showers have hot water and all toilets flush into our biolytix water recycling system.

The summit will take place in the main art piece building where all your needs will be catered for. Fresh bread is baked daily and all meals are freshly prepared by our catering team. Filter coffee and tea will be available daily.

Wild Lubanzi runs on solar power 98% of the time and we have planted over 500 indigenous trees and shrubs to keep the business carbon neutral. The community has a 40% investment in the business and we hope to grow this to 50% over the next few years. Our aim is creating a balance between the environment and the economic development goals for our area. The best way to achieve this is through information, education and sharing knowledge. Your summit is a large step forward in making this goal a reality!
