Routing Security Workshop

Routing security is vital to the future and stability of the Internet.

ASREN, Africa Connect3, EUMED Connect3 and the Internet Society were hosting the workshop on routing security.

The workshop provided an introduction to routing security, the issues with global BGP routing system, and the Mutually Assured Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) initiative that aims to address these problems by encouraging operators to subscribe to four actions including filtering, anti-spoofing, coordination and address prefix validation.

It also introduced participants to resources that can help improve awareness and knowledge of routing security, including online tutorials and implementation guides.

Finally, there was a demonstration of the MANRS Observatory tool and some practical implementation exercises.
