Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2023

The 18th annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will take place from 8—12 October 2023, in a hybrid format, accommodating participants onsite in Kyoto, Japan, and online.

The Internet Society is a longtime supporter of the IGF. We believe that the opportunities we can create by coming together with diverse stakeholders around common themes can help us combat the threats the Internet faces today.

We are attending the 18th annual IGF:

  • To advocate for an open, globally connected, trustworthy Internet for everyone by highlighting the current risks of Internet fragmentation.
  • To spotlight and showcase the important work of the global Internet Society community.
  • To provide the knowledge and skills needed to a new generation of Internet leaders to defend the Internet and empower them to take action.
  • To support the IGF and its multistakeholder model in the context of the ongoing Global Digital Compact process and in preparation for WSIS+20.
Our IGF Youth Ambassador Program

We also selected 16 young, passionate fellows to participate in our IGF Youth Ambassador Program, equipping the next generation of Internet leaders to collaborate and innovate for a better world.
