Projects

Within the Internet Society, the Deployment & Operationalization (DO) team is focused on efforts to accelerate the deployment of key Internet technologies.  While our main focus to date has been on the Deploy360 Programme web portal that you are visiting, we are also involved in several other projects.

Team Projects

  • Best Current Operational Practices (BCOP) – A  project to work with regional network operator groups (NOGs) to create Best Current Operational Practices (BCOP) documents to describe how they run their networks and deploy these new technologies.
  • Operators and the IETF – A project to explore how to involve more network operators in the open standards process of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

Other Projects

Additionally, we are involved with these other projects:

  • DNSSEC Deployment Initiative – We are currently in the process of assuming responsibility for this website providing DNSSEC deployment information.
  • IXP Toolkit – A project to provide resources that aid in the creation of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs).
  • World IPv6 Launch – The site focused around the global launch of IPv6 beginning back on June 6, 2012, and continuing on through today.
