- Mutegeki Cliff Agaba (Mid Career Fellowship) hosted Universal Acceptance day with his organization, Uganda DNS Forum.
- Elnur Karimov (Youth Ambassador Program) successfully launched his book Legal Protection of Genetic Resources and Traditional Knowledge from a Social Network Perspective (Routledge).
- Aaron Spitler (Early Career Fellowship) published a Global Voices piece exploring how the race for AI innovation is leaving underrepresented communities behind.
- Mina Seonmin Jun (Policymakers Program) hosted a breakfast dialogue on closing the digital gender divide as part of her role as Chair of the ITU Network of Women.
- Dana Cramer (Youth Ambassador Program) participated in the Public Policy Forum #GrowthSummit2026, contributing to discussions on AI’s role in Canada’s future.
- Abraham Selby (Youth Ambassador Program) spoke at the International Youth Conference and facilitated a session on bridging global gaps through digital innovation. He also published academic work on encryption and privacy for a healthier Internet in Africa.
- German Lopez Ardilla (Early Career Fellowship) joined the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program on digital economy cooperation and delivered UNESCO AI literacy trainings for civil servants in Paraguay.
- Bahaa Al-Musawi (MANRS Fellowship) published new research on network-level Internet censorship across Iraqi ISPs.
- Muhammed Bello Buhari (Youth Ambassador Program) addressed the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights on ending the normalization of Internet shutdowns in Africa.
- Pedro Alfredo Astudillo Paredes (Early Career Fellowship) spoke at Lawyers in Regulation Convergence 2026 – Peru Lab on infrastructure, sustainability, and connectivity.
- Ananda Gautam (Community Fellowship) led a nationwide movement in Nepal to improve accessibility of government websites through the organization he founded, Open Internet Nepal.
- Rachael Ncube (Youth Ambassador Program) hosted Digital Haven Connect and is leading SoCreative courses to empower African creatives with digital skills and online safety skills.
- Bibek Silwal (Youth Ambassador Program) organized and launched the Universal Acceptance Adaptation and Hackathon Nepal 2026, uniting stakeholders to support a multilingual Internet.
- Amged Shwehdy (Early Career Fellowship) advanced digital inclusion efforts through engagement with Libya’s Ministry of Women’s Affairs and celebrated the launch of the Libya School of Internet Governance, building on his work founding the Internet Society Libya Chapter.
- Lily Edinam Botsyoe (Youth Ambassador Program) successfully defended her PhD on a privacy nudge framework to improve online decision-making. Congratulations Dr. Botsyoe!
- Ryan Payne (Early Career Fellowship) was awarded the MacEwan University Distinguished Alumni Award for his work on how technology affects society. This work reflects the organizations he has worked with, including the Internet Society.
- Alan Ramirez (Mid Career Fellowship) met with the Deputy Minister of Bolivia to discuss the progress and challenges Bolivia faces in connectivity, regulation, investment, digital infrastructure, and Internet resilience.
Our Alumni Network is open to anyone who has completed one of our fellowships, ambassador programs, policy maker programs, or who is a training tutor, or learners who have completed at least one Learning @ Internet Society track.
