The Internet Society and the Internet Society Ethiopia Chapter organized the Ethiopia Peering Day on Friday, 24 January 2025, at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The event brought together Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Content Providers (CPs), and other stakeholders in the telecommunications industry to discuss issues related to Internet interconnection and peering in Ethiopia and the subregion.
The event also brought together peering and interconnection decision makers from Content Distribution Networks (CDNs), infrastructure providers, Internet service providers (ISPs), Internet exchange points (IXPs), mobile network operators (MNOs), large enterprise networks, policymakers, Internet enthusiasts, and regulators. The speakers addressed issues pertaining to peering and interconnection best practices, current and latest trends, global challenges, and opportunities.
