AFRINIC – Internet Society Measurement Collaboration Launch

The Internet Society and AFRINIC, the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) for the African region, were proud to announce the launch of a new collaborative effort, Africa Internet Measurements.

This collaborative effort, a key component of our Measuring the Internet project, launched on July 24, 2020.

It built upon a strategic, long-term partnership agreement held between both organizations aimed at strengthening continent-wide collaboration to drive the development of the Internet in Africa through projects and research related to Internet measurements, Internet resilience, routing security, open Internet standards, and Internet Exchange Points (IXPs). Thank you for joining us and witnessing the launch of this new partnership and asking questions about it!
