Toral Cowieson joined the Internet Society in December 2010 and is currently the Head of Strategy and Impact Measurement. In this role, she works with key constituents to provide the frameworks and analysis to develop the organizational strategy, prioritize investments, and demonstrate impact. Prior to this, Toral built the leadership and learning team and the portfolio of fellowships and e-learning curriculum to develop the next generation of Internet policy, technology, and business leaders around the globe.

Before joining the Internet Society, she was on the leadership teams at NewsEdge (acquired by Thomson/Reuters) and at Almus & Lee, a boutique advertising agency. She has also served as adjunct faculty at the University of Prince Edward Island and on several boards, including the New Hampshire Tech Alliance, where she is the immediate past chair.

Toral earned her Masters in International Business from The George Washington University and her Bachelors from Tulane University. She has also completed executive education courses at Harvard University, Saïd Business School at Oxford University, and at the National Training Laboratory for Applied Behavioral Science.

She is based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
