- Kaiyuan Zhang (NDSS Fellowship) presented BrowseSafe, a paper examining the landscape of prompt injection attacks, at the first Real World AI Security Conference at Stanford University.
- Pavlina Pavlova (Mid Career Fellowship) was appointed advisor to the rapporteur on the Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA) at the European Economic and Social Committee.
- Alphonce Odhiambo (Learning @ Internet Society Tutor Training) led the development and launch of the Goinbox Billing Platform, a solution designed for community networks, and delivered a training session on Learning Management System (LMS) administration at the AfChix Summit.
- Tanya Shreedar (Pulse Research Fellowship) published and presented research on web content delivery over Starlink’s LEO satellite network, highlighting how satellite architectures challenge traditional content delivery assumptions.
- Muhammed Bello Buhari (Youth Ambassador Program) led the Digital Rights Academy for Lawyers at DRIF 2026, moderated a session on emergency connectivity and digital repression, and began a new role as Project Officer at Magamba Network, focusing on digital policy, digital resilience, and youth-led digital ecosystems.
- Alfonce Ouma (Internet Society Tutor) advanced connectivity efforts in Muhuru Bay through GONLINE AFRICA and appeared on the Beyond Adversity podcast to discuss leadership and value creation.
- Abraham Selby (Youth Ambassador Program) published a policy paper proposing Ghana’s One Million Coders Program as a national digital governance engine to strengthen sustainable government digital services.
- Alan Ramirez Garcia (Mid Career Fellowship) hosted the School of Digital Transformation and Innovation in the Caribbean.
- Poornima Meegammana (Youth Ambassador Program) had her study, NextGen Girls in Technology, featured as a case study in UNESCO’s Outlook Study on Artificial Intelligence and Gender in South Asia.
- Victor Bolanos Guerra (Community Fellowship) led technical training on switching, routing, Wi-Fi, and network deployment best practices.
- Joseph Bishi (Mid Career Fellowship) spoke at a Communications Regulators Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) workshop on accelerating meaningful connectivity through community networks, local innovation, and skills development.
- Rachael Ncube (Youth Ambassador Program) supported 100 young creatives in Zimbabwe through the SoCreative program, a program designed to equip young creatives with the practical skills to navigate the digital economy.
- Selu Kauvaka (Mid Career Fellowship) organized a Pacific Women in Cybersecurity Workshop and a webinar highlighting women leading digital transformation across the Pacific. One of the panelists was Georgina Naigulevu (Peering Fellowship).
- Abdulrahman Abotaleb (Community Fellowship) partnered with the Yemen ICT Syndicate to speak on a panel discussing Internet governance, multistakeholder processes, and opportunities for participation in global Internet policymaking.
- Audrey Hingle (Mid Career Fellowship) published analysis exploring the privacy and effectiveness trade-offs of age verification technologies titled Why Ofcom Objects to TikToks Age Assurance Methods.
- Rose Payne (Early Career Fellowship) contributed to the development of Global Partners Digital’s Human Rights Impact Assessment for Digital Public Infrastructure.
- Matias Jackson (IGF Ambassador Program) released the book Between Monopoly and Convergence: Net Neutrality in Uruguay.
- Sadichchha Silwal (Youth Ambassador Program) contributed to a national research report examining the use and impact of digital spaces during Nepal’s 2026 election.
- Mutegeki Cliff Agaba (Mid Career Fellowship) hosted Uganda’s IPv6 Certification and Technical Training Program, supporting technical capacity building across the country. He did so through his role as organizer of the Uganda DNS Forum, an idea born during the fellowship and executed as an alumnus.
- Oscar León (Policymakers Program) signed a partnership agreement between CITEL and ENACOM to advance connectivity analysis, affordability, and access across the region.
- Vallerie Yiega (Youth Ambassador Program) was recognized as a Rising Star in the 2026 IP STARS rankings.
- Ida Na-Tei (Youth Ambassador Program) was selected as a Women@Dior × UNESCO Mentee for the 2026–2027 cohort.
- Ellen Dixon (Youth Ambassador Program) received the Young Alumni Award from Massey University in recognition of her contributions to civil society and international education initiatives.
- German Lopez Ardilla (Early Career Fellowship) featured on a podcast discussing cybersecurity, trust, and digital transformation in Colombia.
- Anand Raje (Mid Career Fellowship) through the India Internet Foundation, co-organized a workshop on innovation, collaboration, and building a secure and resilient digital future with the Nepal Internet Foundation.
Our Alumni Network is open to anyone who has completed one of our fellowships, ambassador programs, policy maker programs, or who is a training tutor, or learners who have completed at least one Learning @ Internet Society track.
