The Internet Society will hold several peering events in 2026. Dates and locations will be published soon. The Peering Roadshows offer local technical communities a chance to get together and learn about the latest peering best practices and develop their skills. They will happen in three different formats: Peering Roadshows, Peering Best Practice Events, and Peering Technical Aspects Workshops (workshops are invite-only). Peering Roadshows: a one to two-day event to start and strengthen a peering ecosystem in a country or market. It’s like a mini peering forum, featuring presentations on peering, as well as discussions on Internet infrastructure development, such as DNS and Data Centers. The event welcomes decision-makers in the Internet industry, including ISPs, mobile network operators, data center operators, academia, researchers, financial institutions, and government representatives. Peering Best Practice Event: a two-day gathering that will help enhance or revitalize an existing or dormant peering ecosystem. Attendants already familiar with the fundamentals of peering will learn about IXP and peering best practices. The event addresses country-specific challenges that deviate from global best practices. It will benefit technical and non-technical managers, decision-makers, government representatives, academia, researchers, CDNs, data center operators, and non-traditional network operators (such as banks, e-commerce, broadcasters), helping stimulate growth within the local economy and neighboring regions. Peering Technical Aspects Workshops (invite-only): a four to five-day hands-on event designed to provide engineers with practical technical knowledge on building and interconnecting networks. Conducted in a virtual lab environment using participants' laptops and Wi-Fi, the workshop combines theoretical presentations with practical exercises to encourage collaboration and interaction. Focused on network and system engineers, the workshop will be based on best practices, including routing security, to ensure the development of a reliable, efficient, and secure peering ecosystem. The Peering Roadshows are specially designed to support: Stay tuned for upcoming events. If you are interested in attending a technical aspects workshop, contact us.Peering Roadshows
