Collision from Home panel: Data protection post-Covid

Collision, one of the world’s biggest tech conferences, was held online from 23-25 June 2020.

Our President and CEO Andrew Sullivan was speaking at Data protection post-Covid panel, on 24 June at 16.45 EDT.

Summary: Privacy and data are two of the most important topics discussed in tech today. Protecting our data has never been more important, and is viewed as such by most people. However, legislators continue to offer up data policy that often fails to protect us. In this session, we will hear from the experts in the area about how policy should be doing more to safeguard our privacy.

Participants

  • Andrew Sullivan, President and CEO, Internet Society
  • Lee Rainie, Director – Internet & Technology Research, Pew Research Center
  • Steven Levy, Editor-at-Large, Wired
