Israel Rosas is a Senior Regional Development Manager at the Internet Society. In this role, he supports the efforts of the organization in promoting routing security, as well as infrastructure and community development, such as IXPs, NOGs, and NRENs.
Prior to joining ISOC, Israel served as Internet Policy Analyst at the Coordination of the National Digital Strategy, a group that works directly with the Office of the President of Mexico. In that role, Israel offered advice on a variety of Internet Governance topics at the national, regional, and global levels. He represented Mexico in the Multistakeholder Advisory Group of the Internet Governance Forum, as well as the Working Group on Enhanced Cooperation of the UN Commission on Science, Technology, and Development. He was also part of the Mexican delegation to the Governmental Advisory Committee of ICANN.
Israel joined the Internet Society in July 2018, as Outreach Manager - Latin America and the Caribbean. In that position, he supported the efforts in the LAC region to be more efficient in reaching out to the diverse members of the community.
He speaks Spanish, English and some French. He is based in Mexico City.
