Senior Frontend Developer

Biography

I'm the Senior Frontend Developer at the Internet Society, which is a fancy way of saying that I help look after our various web applications, and ensure that they are accessible, performant, and (hopefully) a pleasure to use.

I built my first web site back in 1996 (it's still available on the Wayback Machine, if you know where to look) and in the subsequent years I've worked both agency-side and in-house, primarily for local government, and third sector clients. I've always been a bit of a generalist, but content strategy and governance, accessibility, user experience, and information architecture are the things that really make my brain sparkle.

When I'm not staring quizzically at a screen I can be found watching double-bills at my local independent cinema, watching live music, or wandering around Oxford with one of my numerous old film cameras.
