Internet Society Member Wins Seat On Hong Kong’s Legislative Assembly

On September 9th founding chairman of the Internet Society Hong Kong Chapter and former IGF Ambassador Charles Mok was elected to Hong Kong’s Legislative Assembly.

Educated as an electrical engineer, he also has a strong background in business, having been the Deputy Managing Director and a co-founder of one of Hong Kong’s first Internet service providers. He is a director of a technology consultancy business and sits on the boards of several technology companies.
The Internet Society would like to offer its congratulations to Charles and wish him the very best of success in his new role.
