World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026

The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026 will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 6 to 10 July 2026, at ITU Headquarters on 6-7 July, and at Palexpo on 8-10 July.

The WSIS Forum is the world’s leading annual multistakeholder platform for advancing digital development, convening governments, civil society, the private sector, and academia to shape global digital policy and cooperation. As the first forum following the UN General Assembly’s twenty-year review of the WSIS implementation, the 2026 edition centers on putting new digital commitments into practice, with themes spanning artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and closing digital divides.

We will be at the WSIS Forum 2026 to:

  • Push for WSIS implementation roadmaps that are built inclusively and measure real progress in connecting the unconnected, and strengthening trust online.
  • Call for the WSIS Forum to strengthen its role as a mechanism of accountability and implementation of the WSIS action lines.
  • Champion the multistakeholder model and a strong, sustainably funded IGF that stays open to all stakeholders.
  • Keep WSIS and its multistakeholder approach at the center of the UN’s digital landscape.
