Biografía

Alaa Sadik is an associate professor of instructional technology at South Valley University, Egypt, and currently work at the College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman. He worked as an educational technology consultant in the Partners for Competitive Egypt (PfC) project, funded by the USAID between 2003 and 2005. In 2002, he received his Ph.D. in educational technology from the University of Hull, UK. He teaches courses in instructional computer, distance education, multimedia and photography for undergraduate and postgraduate students. His current research interests include the effective integration of ICT into the curriculum in developing regions, and improving students' visual and IT literacy. Over the last few years he has published many papers in international refereed journals. He conducts many workshops and in process of conducting a research on the use and evaluation of IT at school and university level.
