Senior Vice President, People & Culture

Biografía

As the SVP of People and Culture at the Internet Society, my role focuses on building a thriving culture of excellence where successes are celebrated and challenges become opportunities for learning. To enable this, I aim to foster an environment in which employees experience psychological safety, role clarity, and a strong sense of individual empowerment and accountability as we navigate our roles and lives in an ever-changing world. I am a big believer in leading with compassion, curiosity, and a growth mindset.

I bring nearly 20 years of experience leading, building, managing, and scaling Human Resources and Talent Acquisition functions across both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. I began my career at Microsoft Corp. and then progressed through mid-size (Turnitin LLC), startup (Clever Inc.), and nonprofit (Digital Green) organizations. These experiences have allowed me to adapt my skills across diverse operating models and contexts. My strength lies in meeting organizations where they are and helping raise their bar of excellence while cultivating a strong sense of stewardship and mission focus.

I was born in Pune, India, grew up in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, and now reside in the south of France. I hold degrees in English (B.A.), Psychology (B.S.), and Management (B.S.B.A.) from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. I speak English, French, Hindi, and Marathi fluently and have basic proficiency in German and Japanese. I most closely identify with the INFP (Myers-Briggs) and Activator (CliftonStrengths) personality types.

When I’m not working, you can find me farming in my small village at the foothills of the Pyrénées. When the weather doesn’t permit, I enjoy crocheting, cooking, crafting, meditating, and reading. My husband and I also share a passion for travel, gastronomy, and discovering new cultures.
