Gregg Lechner

Gregg Lechner joined the Internet Society in January 2014. He is the Director, Global IT.

Born and raised in the Washington DC area, Gregg attended George Mason University for undergraduate studies and continued on at American University, obtaining a Master's degree in Information Systems.

Gregg has over 25 years’ experience in the computer field and has worked in many varied, challenging environments. This has allowed him to gain experience in many areas including virtualization, networking infrastructure, desktop management, and project management.

In his spare time he follows musical pursuits. Gregg studied music from an early age and played in many bands as a guitarist, drummer, and bass player. He is currently a guitar player for a band that plays in many of the breweries in the Northern Virginia area.

He is also a rabid Washington Capitals fan and can often be seen talking to people about the team.

Gregg is based in the Reston, Virginia office.
