Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2015

‹ Back

If you cannot get to João Pessoa, Brazil, to directly participate in the 10th Internet Governance Forum (IGF), there are several options to participate remotely.

Remote Hubs

Over 50 remote hubs have been established around the world where people can gather and participate in IGF activities. If you can get to one of these locations you can participate through that hub.

The IGF is providing remote participation through a series of WebEx sessions established for each meeting room and day. You can see the list of rooms / days and register to participate at this link:

You need to register separately for each different room and date.  Registration is free – you just have to go through the process.  They are also streaming out video at:

There you can choose the room and language you wish to view.

Social Media

We expect a great amount of interaction for IGF 2015 to occur on social media.  Across almost all social media channels this hashtag will be used:

The IGF organizers are encouraging the use of a range of other hashtags for various parts of the event. The list of hashtags can be found at:

You can use search on these hashtags to find the most recent updates. For example, here are four search URLs:

You may find that hashtag active on other social networks as well.

Additionally, the IGF has a formal Twitter account (@intgovforum) and IGF Facebook page.

We will, of course, be providing updates throughout the week across our various Internet Society social media channels.  In particular, we expect to be posting updates to:

We will continue to update this page throughout the IGF 2015 week as more information becomes available.
