Information Session: Find out How You Could Fund Your Project

By Ilda SimaoChapter Grants Programme Manager

During my time at the Internet Society, I’m often surprised at the amazing things our volunteers do.  No matter if they’re part of a Chapter or working on projects on their own the opportunities they’ve created for their cities, towns, or even countries are fantastic.

I’ve seen solar powered internet kiosks installed in rural Kenya, computer courses for children in Cambodia, and an online school for farmers in Sri Lanka to help them learn how to harvest crops for years to come.

All of these projects have received funding from the Internet Society. It’s an honour to help our Chapters and members realize their ambitions of helping to build their community.

Do you have a great idea? We Want to Help!

We’ve launched a new program to help fund ideas, and we’d love to hear yours.

Beyond the Net is replaces our old grant programme, Community Grants, and offers funding up to $30 000USD.

The next application deadline is coming up on March 8th, and we need you to apply! To help make the application process as easy as we can, we’re holding two information sessions on 28th January (THIS THURSDAY!).

Register for them here.

Need Inspiration?  Watch some of the work we’ve helped fund:

We’re looking for new ideas from people all over the world on how to make your community better using the Internet.

Hope to see you there!
