A Busy Week at APRICOT 2014 – IPv6, DNSSEC, Routing, IXPs, and More!

Are you already at APRICOT 2014? We’re close! Several of ISOC’s global technical staff are heading to Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, to meet up with our colleagues from the region and participate in APRICOT’s technical plenary meetings next week.

We’ve already talked about our major workshop scheduled for Wednesday, February 26 – “Tackling Hard Issues: A NetOps Workshop on IPv6, DNSSEC and Routing Security” – where we’ll be focusing on how to ensure a healthy, sustainable Internet is and remains available to everyone.

And if you peer a little more closely at the agenda, you’ll see we’re popping up in other parts of the week, as well:

Our overall hope is to meet new people to work with in developing and deploying the Internet. The Internet is global, and it only works when all parts of it work, and work well. It develops when a good idea comes from any part of the globe and takes hold all over. So, while we’re talking about technology, we also hope to be expanding our own networks — socially and onsite.

The Internet Society will also have a booth — so please do drop by and say “hi!”. Check out APRICOT 2014 for more information on all activities, and let us know if you’ll be there. We’d love to meet you.
