Leah Symekher, President & Chair Leah Symekher has been actively involved with San Francisco Bay Area ISOC Chapter (SFBay-ISOC) for the past 3 years as a Board Member and Vice Chair. Her new role as Chair /President includes representing SFBay-ISOC community as the secondary contact for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and North America Regional At-Large Organization (NARALO). Leah’s international experience, business career in technology companies and linguistics skills will continue to contribute greatly to SFBay ISOC chapter’s mission and goals. Here is a brief background. After completing her basic education in Kenya, Leah moved to Japan where she worked as an International Liaison facilitating business and cultural opportunities between Kenya and Japan. After several years in Japan, she pursued college studies at University of Washington in the U.S where she studied International Studies, Business & Japanese Language.Leah’s career in technology companies began at Microsoft and continued in several other technology organizations including PAIX (Palo Alto Internet Exchange), Skybox Security, Laszlo Systems and Internet Systems Consortium. As a Senior Account Management, Leah work’s with leading and emerging technology companies in Silicon Valley as well as several domestic and global organizations.
