Mia joined the Internet Society in 2011.   She supports the Philanthropy and Partnership Deelopment Department.
 
Mia is a recent honors graduate of George Mason University where she earned her BA in Government and International Politics.  Before coming on board at ISOC, she also studied in Wuhan, China at Huazhong Normal University. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish and is interested in new media and the web, considering herself a true netizen.
