Kathy Sebuck joined the Internet Society in February 2012 as the Director, Strategic Marketing Communications.
Kathy has over 18 years of corporate marketing experience in the Information Technology industry working for various software start-ups and fortune 500 companies such as Williams Communications, Sun Microsystems, and VERISIGN. Her exposure to vertical markets such as Telecommunications, Healthcare, Internet Security and Domain Name Services provides a wide perspective on marketing strategies that drive revenue and increase awareness and education around technology, products and services.
With a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from Illinois State University and a Master's in Management from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma, Kathy's mix of Marketing Communications, Sales and IT Management experience offers a unique blend of best practice knowledge used to create successful communications solutions.
Kathy is an active member and regular conference speaker of the Association of Briefing Program Managers, a member of Women in Technology and she volunteers her time to help EWGA and Women on Course leverage online tools to effectively communicate to its membership. In 2011 she helped start up Building Futures Thailand, a non-profit organization focused on providing support to the children left behind after the 2004 Tsunami in Thailand.
In her free time, she is a competitive age group sprint triathlete who also enjoys golf, diving and international travel.
Kathy is based in Reston, Virginia.
