Biography

Jocelyn Goldblatt has occupied a diverse range of research and analysis roles with an emphasis on healthcare, science and technology for over 10 years.  With the Materials Research Society in Washington, DC., she monitored relevant legislative activity, arranged congressional visits days, and worked with The Task Force for American Innovation.  She also co-authored the materials research chapter in the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) annual report on the president’s budget for FY14.  She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Maryland in Baltimore County where she completed a qualitative research project and an independent analysis of six economic micro simulations used to inform the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.  She was also involved as an analyst during the creation of the nation’s first pay-for-performance Medicare reimbursement system.  Jocelyn is a veteran of the US Navy where she was a Nuclear Engineering and Electronics Technician on a nuclear aircraft carrier and later used her training to support industrial engineering for contract electronics manufacturing.
