How do we apply to become an Internet Society Chapter?
To become an official Chapter of the Internet Society you need to apply for recognition and provide the following documents:
- An official Application.
- A completed set of draft bylaws. These bylaws should conform to Internet Society Chapter policies.
- Your proposed Chapter needs to have at least 25 members who are subscribed as Internet Society members (all members of a Chapter must be members of Internet Society). If they are not members of the Internet Society, please ask them to join, which they can do for free online.
These documents should be returned to the Chapter Administration Staff.
Chapter applications are valid for 6 months. The Chapter formation process, including receipt fo all docuements mentioned above, needs to be completed within this timeframe, after which the appliation will expire.
