Internet Society's Rough Guide to IETF 86's Hot Topics

IETF 86 in Orlando is rapidly approaching (10-15 March 2013). Newcomers' training and technical tutorials take place on Sunday (10 March), with the working group (WG), Birds of a Feather (BoF), and a plenary session happening during the week.

Once again, the Internet Society is pleased to bring you a Rough Guide to the IETF 86 sessions most relevant to our current work. The online version of this Rough Guide will be updated as the IETF 86 session agendas are finalized:

IPv6 Workshop To Be Held At The University of Dhaka

As part of its commitment to ensuring the open development and evolution of the Internet, the Internet Society Bangladesh Dhaka Chapter is organizing a seminar on “IPv6 deployment Scenario Across Asia and Pacific” on Wednesday 30 January at the Center for Advanced Research for Sciences (CARS), University of Dhaka in collaboration with the department of CSE, University of Dhaka at 11 AM.

Big Changes in the IPv6 Landscape in 2012

 

If you've been working on IPv6 for awhile, 2012 should have given you encouragement that IPv6 is starting to have enough significant deployment in enough places that it is really finally happening. In 2012, we witnessed access networks around the world turn up IPv6 for regular end users and saw major websites turn up IPv6 permanently. This combination increased the flow of IPv6 throughout the Internet.
