Internet Governance Forum (IGF)

The United Nations created the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) to continue the work of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). The IGF will bring together stakeholders from government, industry, and civil society to discuss Internet governance issues at a series of annual meetings between 2006 and 2011.

The Internet Society at the IGF

The Internet Society attends the IGF each year as a trusted member of the Internet community.  We also established an IGF Ambassador program that brings qualified participants to the IGF from around the world and from all stakeholder groups to learn and to teach about Internet governance.  We believe the value of the IGF is its ability to bring together people who might not otherwise meet.
