About the Internet Society History Project

The Internet Society, as part of the continuing commemoration of its 20th anniversary, conceived the Internet Society History Project to document important milestones, initiatives, and accomplishments in the history of the Internet as shaped by and reflected in the work of ISOC and ISOC Chapters. The project is intended to be ongoing, in order to expand on our documentation and explanation of the past and to record new events in ISOC’s history going forward.

The Internet Society would like to thank the following individuals for giving generously of their time to help us to identify key points in ISOC’s history:

Scott Bradner
Vint Cerf
Lyman Chapin
Steve Crocker
David Farber
Frode Greisen
Juergen Harms
Don Heath
Geoff Huston
Robert Kahn
Lawrence Landweber
Kees Neggers
Michael Roberts
George Sadowsky
Ben Segal
Dov Winer

We are actively seeking contributions in the form of recollections, documents, photographs, and ephemera related to ISOC and ISOC Chapter history. If you have something to share, we would like to hear from you. Please contact us at history@isoc.org.
