12 January 2009 - The World Summit Awards has announced the deadline for the World Summit Youth Award (WSYA (PDF) has been extended until 28 February 2009.

The WYSA is an international competition for "e-Contents from around the world that address in an inspiring manner the UN Millennium Development Goals, and use internet and mobile contents to create awareness of the MDGs, show actions towards reaching those goals and demonstrate the consequences of interaction or counter-action". The WSYA is organised by the World Summit Award, which promotes the most outstanding achievements worldwide to develop the Information Society, bridge digital divides, and close the content gap.
