Internet Society Standard Day

Location: White Sands Hotel, Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
Objectives

The ISOC Standards Day aims to promote increased involvement of engineers and scientists from emerging Internet markets in the development of the Internet through the IETF. The day is aimed at those who are interested in understanding how Internet standards are developed and keen to get involved in the IETF.
Agenda Overview

The ISOC Standards day will aim to give participant a feel of the process involved in the development of an Internet standard from idea conceptualization to operational implementation of the standard. Participants will get to engage with speakers with strong technical backgrounds and have either contributed to the development or qualify as early adopters of the standards. The meeting is open to all.
