November marked a changing of the guard for the Internet Society Australian Chapter when Tony Hill, after ten years as President, decided it was time to step aside.
The newly-elected 2012 executive is:
- Narelle Clark, President;
- George Fong, Vice President;
- Cheryl Langdon-Orr Secretary, and
- Paul Brooks Treasurer.
Tony Hill's contribution has been significant, with a series of successful IPv6 Summits, new relationships forged across public and private sectors both inside Australia and outside, the establishment and conduct of user consultation programs, countless government submissions, and projects such as the IPv6 for eBusiness project.
As Immediate Past President and an ongoing member, we hope to have Tony's guidance and contribution for a long time to come. Thank you Tony, from your colleagues in ISOC and ISOC Australia Chapter!
